THEE ANXIETY

Permission to… Breathe, please? With daily anxiety pacing up and down bloodstreams adrenaline rushes fight or flight responses horns honking birds flying cars stopping people staring too close for comfort, I can’t just breathe. Stop the world temporarily dance on street corners laugh loudly at stoplights search for my daily dose of free because I left it at home with my reminder to breathe. Because work brings money but suffocates me and lovers bring arousal but suffocate me and friends bring laughter but suffocate me and the world brings inspiration but suffocates me When will I just breathe?
